Welcome new customers — Shopify Flow template

What it does

When a customer enters your "new customer" segment, they get an email with a Checkout Link to a curated second purchase.

Why this play works

The 30-day window after a first purchase is the highest-intent window you'll ever get — and most welcome flows waste it on "check out our products." A Checkout Link pre-loads the second order: straight to checkout for the fastest conversion, or to a pre-checkout page with related products and social proof. A returning-customer tiered promotion lifts AOV on either destination.

What you'll need

  • A Shopify segment for new customers (e.g. one order in the last 30 days)

  • A Checkout Link with the curated second-purchase products

  • Klaviyo connected in Checkout Links

How it works

  1. Trigger: Customer entered segment (new customers)

  2. Action: Send Checkout Link

Tips

Test a pre-checkout page with social proof (review screenshots, bestseller list) for order #2 — repeat-buyer conversion usually beats a cold cart link by a wide margin.
