What it does

25 days after a customer's subscription is cancelled, they get an email with a Checkout Link that drops them back into a subscription checkout — pre-filled with their previous plan or a fresh starter bundle.

Why this play works

Subscription win-backs are expensive when they rely on codes and landing pages. A Checkout Link drops the lapsed subscriber straight back into a subscription checkout with their previous plan pre-filled — or into a pre-checkout page with a fresh starter bundle. A tiered promotion can scale the discount with plan commitment, on either destination.

What you'll need

  • A Shopify segment for cancelled subscribers (Tip: ask Sidekick to create it)

  • A Checkout Link set as Dynamic so the previous plan can pre-fill from the subscription contract

  • Klaviyo connected in Checkout Links

How it works

  1. Trigger: Customer entered segment (lapsed subscribers)

  2. Wait: 25 days

  3. Action: Get subscription contract data

  4. Action: Use dynamic link (Checkout Links)

  5. Action: Send Checkout Link

Tips

The Get subscription contract data step lets the dynamic link pre-fill with the customer's previous plan. If you want a different default, drop in a curated starter bundle in the Checkout Link instead.
