If you need to uninstall Checkout Links, here's what you need to know.
How to Uninstall
Go to Settings > Apps and sales channels in your Shopify admin
Find Checkout Links in the list
Click Uninstall
Confirm the uninstallation
What Happens When You Uninstall
Checkout Links is designed for a clean uninstall:
All checkout links stop working — Customers who click existing links will see a 404 page
No permanent store modifications — The app doesn't make lasting changes to your theme or store configuration
Order data remains — Any orders placed through checkout links are still in your Shopify admin with their full details
Attribution metafields persist — Order metafields (like UTM tracking data) remain on past orders
Your subscription is cancelled — Billing stops through Shopify's billing system
Before You Uninstall
Consider these steps before uninstalling:
Remove links where you've shared them — If you have active links in emails, SMS, or other channels, they'll stop working immediately. Consider updating your marketing materials first.
Update QR codes — Any printed QR codes pointing to checkout links will stop working
Reinstalling
If you reinstall Checkout Links later, you may need to go through the setup process again. Your previous links and settings may not be preserved.
